John Hiatt and Peter Frampton at the Ryman

The annual benefit concert for Cumberland Heights is Saturday, October 13th at the Ryman, and this year’s show features hometown legend John Hiatt and superstar guitar hero Peter Frampton. This is to benefit a wonderful cause, and the evening promises to be one to remember. Hiatt will be playing solo with an acoustic guitar, and Frampton will be backed by his incredible band. You can pick up tickets through Ticketmaster, or the Ryman. Mr. Hiatt had been working on a new, anxiously awaited new album, and I hope to hear some new songs from that upcoming release. Frampton won a Grammy for his last outing Fingerprints, which is instrumental, and showcases his virtuosity.

This evening was a wonderful event. We met some wonderful people at the mixer and silent auction in advance of the show. The show itself was incredible! John Hiatt’s blues sound coupled with his personable and welcoming style made the night more than memorable. Peter Frampton, as always, was an amazing talent to watch. Even after all these years he remains passionate for his work. His passion shows through on stage and it is a treat to watch him perform. Meeting both John and Peter after the show was a a wonderful experience! They were both cordial, warm, and generous with there time. Additionally, Audley Freed rocked the house! He’s incredible and I hope to see that he continues to play with Frampton. He was also kind with his time and allowed a few photos. Additionally he talk with us for a bit after the show. Overall, meeting these three artists was an honor and will remain a cherished memory! Thank you Peter, John and Audley!
